You can change your money in banks or bureaus de change ("valūtas maiņa"), which are very common, especially in Riga. Please note that as the exchange rates vary considerably between different bureaus, it is a good idea to look around for the most advantageous exchange rate, especially if you plan on changing larger sums.

Yes. All major credit cards are accepted at most restaurants, banks, gas stations and cash machines.

 

What traffic regulations are there in Latvia?

Traffic regulations include: right-hand traffic rules and international road signs. An original vehicle registration document MUST be brought with you every time you travel by car. Speed limits are 50km/h in populated areas, and 90km/h on freeways, unless otherwise marked. The legal blood alcohol limit is 0.05% (or 0.5 per mille).
