Foreign Minister Maris Riekstins to meet with Alternate Foreign Minister of Greece
On 13 January, Foreign Minister Maris Riekstins will meet with Alternate Minister for Foreign Affairs of Greece, Dimitris Droutsas. The parties intend to discuss bilateral relations between both countries, including economic co-operation.
Other topics for the discussion are current issues on the European Union agenda, including the EU enlargement, priorities of the EU's Spanish presidency, and institutional issues.
Dimitris Droutsas has been of Alternate Foreign Minister of Greece since 7 October 2009. Officially, the position of Foreign Minister is held by Prime Minister George Papandreou.
