Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs extend deepest condolences to family of Estonian soldier killed in Afghanistan [30 Aug 2010]

Prime Minister Valdis Dombrovskis and Foreign Minister Aivis Ronis, on behalf of the Latvian government, have sent letters of condolences to the Prime Minister of Estonia Andrus Ansip and the Foreign Minister of Estonia Urmas Paet with regard to the tragic explosion in Helmand Province, Afghanistan, which caused the death of Junior Sergeant Herdis Sikka.

The officials of Latvia have offered deepest sympathies to the soldier's family and friends, as well as to the Estonian people.
