Visit to Sigulda and Cesis by resident ambassadors accredited in Latvia
On 16 October, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in associations with Sigulda Municipality Council and Cesis Municipality Council organises a visit to Sigulda and Cesis for resident ambassadors accredited in Latvia and their spouses.
In Sigulda, the foreign ambassadors will see the Aerodium and the Turaida Museum Reserve as well as meet with Chairman of Sigulda Municipality Council, Ugis Mitrevics. In Cesis, the ambassadors will meet with Chairman of Cesis Municipality Council, Gints Skenders, and Deputy Chairman Janis Rozenbergs. The ambassadors will visit the School of Instructors of the National Armed Forces, the production facility of Stali company, Cesis 2nd Primary School, the exhibition by Andris Eglitis, entitled Es gribu but tur (I want to be there). They will also go sightseeing in Cesis Old Town, and see the mediaeval castle and the so called New Castle. Twenty three foreign ambassadors accredited in Latvia will take part in the tour. The Foreign Ministry, as a tradition, has been organising these visits for foreign ambassadors and their spouses, with the aim of promoting co-operation in tourism, education, business and culture.
