UK Foreign Secretary: my statements were not directed at Latvia or its government
A telephone conversation took place this morning between Minister for Foreign Affairs Maris Riekstins and the Foreign Secretary of the United Kingdom, David Miliband.
During the conversation, David Miliband acknowledged that his statements were not directed at Latvia of its government. Both ministers confirmed that relations between the two states are outstanding and they should continue to work together in addressing issues of European significance, including the improvement of economy.
