The Minister of Foreign Affairs has expressed his deepest sympathy to the people of Turkey in relation to Kurdistan Worker's Party (PKK) terrorist attack, on 3 October, on a Turkish military outpost in southeastern Turkey near the Iraqi border, in which 15 Turkish soldiers have died.
Minister Riekstins sent a letter to the Foreign Minister of Turkey, Ali Babacan, strongly condemning the insurgent attack and extending his condolences to all the friends and families of those who passed away.
