On 19 August Foreign Minister of the Republic of Latvia, Maris Riekstins, will leave for Brussels to take part in the informal meeting of NATO Foreign Ministers.
The aim of the meeting is to review the situation in Georgia as well as to discuss possible NATO involvement and assistance to Georgia. It is expected that foreign ministers will exchange ideas about the alliance's approach to shaping future relations with Russia.
