President of Latvia meets the Queen of Sweden Silvia

The President of Latvia Vaira Vike-Freiberga met H.M. Queen of Sweden Silvia in Jurmala residence today and sincerely thanked her for the lasting support as a patroness to the project Dzivesprieks (joy of life) that has provided many orphans with the possibility to acquire a vocation and start a full-fledged life by getting involved in the labour market. During the meeting the President and Queen of Sweden discussed the significant role of the projectin solving social issues in the country. Her Majesty had arrived on a private visit to Latvia during which she participated in the 10th anniversary of Dzivesprieks in Aizupe as well as met Vaira Vike Freiberga. The President of Latvia has visited "Dzivesprieks" in 2005.
