MISSION OF THE REPUBLIC OF LATVIA TO UNESCO

| The tasks of the mission are to: |
- co-ordinate the activities of the Latvian institutions and their representation in UNESCO;
- represent Latvia in the events organised by UNESCO within the framework of its competence (congresses, assemblies, meetings, conferences, workshops, etc.);
- participate in the co-ordination meetings of EU member states in UNESCO, meetings of UNESCO election group;
- promote participation of Latvia in UNESCO programmes;
- coordinate the suggestions for the projects and events of Latvia in UNESCO, their preparation and implementation;
- promote awareness of Latvia in UNESCO and among the member states of UNESCO;
- maintain correspondence with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
