Rolands Lappuķe Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Diāna Putniņa First Secretary, Deputy Head of the Mission

The tasks of the mission are to:

co-ordinate the activities of the Latvian institutions and their representation in UNESCO; represent Latvia in the events organised by UNESCO within the framework of its competence (congresses, assemblies, meetings, conferences, workshops, etc.); participate in the co-ordination meetings of EU member states in UNESCO, meetings of UNESCO election group; promote participation of Latvia in UNESCO programmes; coordinate the suggestions for the projects and events of Latvia in UNESCO, their preparation and implementation; promote awareness of Latvia in UNESCO and among the member states of UNESCO; maintain correspondence with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
